The secret ending is unlockable in the prologue. While playing as Nero, players are able to unlock the secret ending by defeating Urizen in their first encounter. The game makes it seem like this is a scripted fight since Urizen doesn’t take much damage when Nero attacks him. This fight is difficult, but it is not impossible. There are two methods in defeating Urizen. The first is completing Devil May Cry 5 in its entirety. Once the player completes the game, the player will have the ability to return to a previous mission with their endgame inventory and upgrades. This will make the fight much easier, but still a tough one. Focus Nero’s attention on the crystal. Once the crystal is shattered, Urizen will be open for attack. Nero can use his gun to attack from a distance to avoid being damaged. This fight requires learning Urizen patterns, so to save time, if the player is about to die, they can load to the previous checkpoint so they can attempt the fight again.
