An avatar for Baby Yoda is notably missing from Disney+’s customizable user profiles. The breakout Star Wars character from The Mandalorian has taken the world by storm. Not much is known about “The Child” except for the fact that he’s a member of Yoda’s mysterious species. That said, Baby Yoda’s popularity has resulted in a slew of memes, demands for merchandise, and an uptick in interest within the Star Wars franchise. But for some reason, Disney+ isn’t capitalizing on their best asset.

Upon signing up for the Disney streaming service, users and (password sharers) have the option to create a personal profile. It gives users the ability to create their own watchlist or content preferences in the same way that Netflix gives their subscribers. In addition, users have the ability to pick a Disney-themed avatar to attach to their profiles. Those icons give subscribers more room for customization by allowing a personal touch.

There have been a few requested changes when it comes to the interface, such as the “continue watching” option other streaming sites have, as well as putting certain TV episodes in the correct order. The interface is still a work in progress, but more customization is never a bad thing. As of now, the available avatars are broken down into characters from categories such as Disney Classics, Princesses, Villains, Pixar, Nat Geo, Disney Channel, Marvel, and of course, Star Wars. There are a lot of options to pick from, but given the character’s internet celebrity, Baby Yoda should have been made available by now.

The Mandalorian Is The Only Character With An Avatar On Disney+

The bounty hunter at the center of The Mandalorian is the only character from the live-action Star Wars series to have his own avatar. This is understandable considering he’s the titular character, but he’s not the figure putting social media into a frenzy week-in and week-out. Since the mini Force-user was introduced in the debut episode of the Disney+ series, fans have campaigned for the platform to add a Baby Yoda icon. A Redditor even created an image to reveal what a Baby Yoda avatar would look like.

For the case of Baby Yoda missing an icon on Disney+, it’s possible they wanted to avoid spoilers for those who haven’t had a chance to watch The Mandalorian. That’s a reasonable explanation, but the time to hide from spoilers has passed considering Baby Yoda is making the rounds across all forms of media. Based on all of the work that Disney has put in with the new streaming service, it doesn’t seem like it would be a difficult task to add a Baby Yoda avatar. While they’re at it, they can include other missing Star Wars figures like Rey, Finn, Poe, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Han Solo, who are also notably missing.
