Division 2 is one of the most popular online action role-playing game. It has three modes: Campaign, Co-Op, and PVP. Furthermore, it provides updates with fresh innovations to give players new game experiences. Now title Update 1 will be added into the game with some new features. This update will add the Transmogrification system or Appearance Mods to the game.

As the name implies, it allows players to customize their avatars. It is a long-awaited feature. Ordinarily, this feature is present in various other RPGs. Moreover, players will be able to change their gear look beyond the options already available in the game.

What we know so Far about Appearance Mods

Appearance mods allow players to upgrade gear slots to the new form. Every piece of gear, including mask, holster, backpack, gloves, vest, and kneepads, can be customized using this feature. However, these customization does not affect the stats of the gear.

Also, you need not sacrifice god roll talents and attributes to make these customizations. Besides, there is an exception of special gear like Exotics, which can not be customized. This being said, other gears can not be customized to look like the Exotics gear. If you are facing problems with using the advanced mods, you need not worry.

How to Use the Appearance Mods

A new option named ‘Mod Appearance’ will be added to the game after Update 1. Players can see a wide range of looks for their gear using this option. Follow the steps given to use the advance mods.

  • Go to the inventory.
  • Select desirable gear and mods.
  • The appearance slot (mod appearance) is added alongside the previous options; you can use this to overview your customized gears.

Selecting a new appearance slot will reveal the Appearance collection. It will have all the styles obtained throughout the game. All the gears player acquired in the game will be added to this collection. Furthermore, you can try out single items on different characters as well but make sure to bookmark this guide for further use.
