After taking a series break in 2016, Doctor Who will soon be embarking on its tenth season since its regeneration in 2005, and anticipation among Whovians is at fever pitch, with Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor set to be joined by brand new companion Bill Potts (Pearl Mackie). It has already been announced that the forthcoming season will be the last with show-runner Steven Moffat in charge, and while Moffat’s tenure has – by his own admission – had its share of dud episodes, many fans will be sad to see the back of the person responsible for the much-loved Eleventh Doctor and memorable villains such as the Weeping Angels....

This time round she found herself working with Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison, rival inventors who had accidentally stumbled onto an alien invasion. It seems that Nikola Tesla had unwittingly discovered a signal from an alien race of scavengers known as the Skithra....

Eagerly anticipated streaming service Disney+ is now available for pre-orders. Disney is set to become a major player in the streaming wars. The service launches on November 12, with a library of 862 movies and TV shows to be made immediately available for streaming, and much more on the way. Disney+ is designed to bring all the properties owned by the House of Mouse under a single banner. Although much of Disney’s most popular content has previously been available elsewhere, for some time now they have been gradually removing it from the various platforms, principally Netflix, to make Disney+ the only place it can be streamed....

Kevin Kiner, who composes the music for Star Wars: The Clone Wars, doesn’t believe that Disney has made a wrong decision so far with its handling of the Star Wars universe. His opinion is probably a controversial one, though, considering there are many extremely strong fan opinions about how Disney has treated the latest trilogy of films. Marvel Studios was able to end 2016 in similar fashion to how it began. While Doctor Strange could not match the financial dominance of Captain America: Civil War, it was met with similarly great reception. Much of the reasoning behind audiences enjoying the film came not only from the trippy visuals, but also Benedict Cumberbatch’s portrayal of Stephen Strange. While Cumberbatch was the clear fan favorite and obviously got the role, it was not always a sure thing....

Choo Choo Charles is an interesting action mysterious game where the players have to kill a spider named Charles. The gameplay is based on a person who is on an open island with a train. The player then sees the spider and tries to kill it with the gun and equipment that is on the train. The train can be used on the island for navigating here and there. As the game is based on completing challenges and killing the spider, the player is confused about whether the game supports multiplayer or not....

Proving good products do their own marketing Apple’s taken a giant thumbs-up from its growing enterprise market with no less than Deutsche Bank declaring there’s “no going back” to BlackBerry after an “overwhelmingly positive” iPhone trial. The bank had been testing Apple’s iPad internally. Deutsche Bank Equity Research’s Chris Whitmore says it has been running a two month trial of iPhones using Good Technology’s secure e-mail application. The email solution uses Microsoft Exchange through a custom interface which makes the process seem similar to using a Gmail account on an iPhone, and the experience has been so good the company is convinced....

A developer, called “Businesscat2000,” posted videos on the CrackBerry forums last weekend that depict iPad-based apps running on the RIM tablet. According to The Verge, CrackBerry’s Kevin Michaluk subsequently confirmed the developer’s efforts after conducting some tests: Businesscat2000 also detailed his feat in the forums: Michaluk had the developer write out “Hi CrackBerry” on the SketchBook Mobile iOS app, as well as run the iPhone app for the site iMore....
