Doctor Strange is the one Marvel movie to explicitly tie in to the Marvel Netflix shows. When Marvel Television launched their first MCU TV series back in 2013, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the promise was that everything would be connected. The films and TV shows would be set in the same universe, and would exert a real influence upon one another. Unfortunately, things have played out rather differently. A high profile corporate restructure in 2015 saw Marvel Studios pulled out of the wider Marvel Entertainment group, and established as a separate Disney subsidiary....

Walt Disney Studios releases the Stargirl movie trailer teasing a feature film based on Jerry Spinelli’s 2000 novel of the same name. The new Spider-Man deal sees Disney receive 25 percent of the profits from Spider-Man 3 - but they also have to pay roughly a quarter of the production costs.
