Former Doctor Who actor Arthur Darvill believes that Jodie Whittaker’s second season as the Doctor will be better than her first. Whittaker dominated headlines in 2017 when she became the first woman cast in the iconic Doctor role. Although many deemed the casting controversial, the BBC revealed Whittaker in her official costume as the Doctor several months later. Despite the naysayers, Whittaker’s first season as the Doctor premiered in 2018, when the first episode broke records as the most-watched of the series in its modern history....

A week after Pebble announced a color-screen version of its popular smartwatch, the Pebble Time, it has now announced a stainless steel model: the Pebble Time Steel. The metal version is available in silver, black and … gold finishes. Wonder where they got the inspiration for a gold finish with red strap? The Time Steel will retail at $299–a hundred bucks more than the plastic original, but still $50 less than the plastic-strap model Apple Watch....

Long-time fans of the Pokémon franchise were treated to some amazing renditions of their favorite Pokémon in Detective Pikachu. They were brought to realistic life by the creative teams at The Pokémon Company and Warner Bros Studios. Fan favorites like Charizard, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle (who work as tiny firefighters!), are all there, as well as many others from the first generation of Pocket Monsters. Other generations get their due as well, like Greninja (employed as ninja-star throwing henchmen) and Loudred (as beatboxing DJ’s) which feature prominently....

If you are still running the previous version of Chrome, follow the instructions further down the list. Update: Chrome 35.0.1916.114 Today I upgraded Chrome to version 35.0.1916.114 and the Google Now notification icon came back. I poked around in Chrome://flags a bit, and realized searching for “enable rich notifications” no longer works because it has been removed....

Disney found great success upon the release of Frozen in 2013, but a crazy theory wonders if the entire movie only exists to hide the truth behind Disney’s founder, Walt Disney. The businessman launched his future empire in 1923 and began to break through in 1928 with the creation of Mickey Mouse, who Walt provided the voice for. They pumped out cartoon shorts for years, until Walt pushed to make full feature-length animated movies, starting with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937....

Black Knight is joining the MCU in Marvel’s Eternals, but he should also appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. At Disney’s D23 Expo, Marvel Studios confirmed that Game of Thrones star Kit Harington has joined the cast of Eternals as Dane Whitman aka Black Knight, one of the only characters in the Eternals film who isn’t an Eternal. So far, Harington’s Black Knight is the only human character confirmed to have a role in the movie....

With the Season of Dawn coming to Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, there a lot of changes Guardians will experience, including three new Ritual Weapons. While the weapons don’t seem to be meta defining, they come completely masterworked and have some interesting and unique perks that can be useful in PvE. The Komodo-4FR Linear Fusion Rifle comes equipped with several basic but solid perks that are useful in any situation, the Python Shotgun is the first shotgun in Destiny 2 to have the Overflow perk, and the Buzzard Sidearm showcases a brand new, versatile perk that can be useful in the most difficult activities in the game....

Each Oscar race unfolds in a different way. Some years, a clear frontrunner emerges early on and coasts to a Best Picture victory. Others feature a tightly contested awards circuit where a controversial pick is declared the winner. Perhaps the most interesting are the years where there are two (or more) legitimate choices that leave the voters debating for months. Either one would be a worthy Best Picture, but one unfortunately has to lose....
