DC’s Shazam! movie introduces fans to Billy Batson and his superhero alter-ego, but does the film have a post-credits scene - and, if so, how many? The latest entry in Warner Bros. and DC Films’ unofficially titled DC Extended Universe, Shazam! tells the story of a 14-year-old foster kid who becomes a superhero. The origin story follows Billy Batson (Asher Angel) as he meets the Wizard Shazam (Djimon Hounsou), who grants the boy the powers to become the superhero Shazam (Zachary Levi)....

Update: We’ve run this by a few developers who’ve seen this before. Their take is that it is code copied from desktop OS X and may not be indicative of new features. Basically, Apple has a general messaging framework. This framework covers text chat and video conferencing. FaceTime, iChat, and iMessage apps are all based on this framework, furthermore some code references will spill over between apps. Apple has been getting a lot of criticism for its $1,000 optional stand for the upcoming Pro Display XDR. Now, hardware manufacturer MSI is making fun of Apple as it promotes its latest 5K display. MSI shared an ad on Twitter for its 5K Prestige Monitor that takes a page from Apple’s popular “I’m a Mac” campaign from several years back and mocks Apple’s $1,000 Pro Display XDR stand. MSI’s 34-inch Prestige display isn’t available yet (expected in 2020), but the company took the opportunity to make its upcoming display look very reasonably priced at $1,300 compared to Apple’s $1,000 stand....

Doctor Sleep has a surprise cameo from The Shining’s Jack Torrance. Even though Jack does appear (although briefly) in the novel, the film gives him a different role. Stephen King’s Doctor Sleep was published in 2013 and is a sequel to his 1977 novel The Shining, which was famously adapted to the big screen in 1980 by Stanley Kubrick. Doctor Sleep follows the now adult Danny Torrance as he deals with the trauma from that winter at the Overlook Hotel many years ago as well as with a group of quasi-immortals that are targeting those with “shining” abilities....

Peter Capaldi has revealed he was asked to stay on Doctor Who past season 10. Doctor Who season 10 will make its debut this coming weekend, and will be the last season with Capaldi starring as the Doctor. It will also be the last season with Steven Moffat as showrunner. Jared Leto made his first DCEU appearance as the Joker in last year’s Suicide Squad - and after an largely negative reaction from fans, there has been no news of when he might reprise the role. As such a major character in the Batman mythology, we can assume that he will be returning at some point in the future of the DCEU, but it looks like the Joker will not be returning for Justice League, although he could appear in either The Batman, or the recently announced Gotham City Sirens movie....

CBC News is reporting that Apple would not disclose Apple ID passwords to a widow after presenting her late husband’s death certificates and her will. Instead, Apple demanded Peggy Bush, 72, to attain a court order in order to gain access to the account. See the video after the jump for the full story. Initially, Apple said that a death certificate would suffice but the company changed its mind on followup calls, making this situation even more frustrating for Bush....

AT&T has announced today that it is rebranding its DirecTV Now streaming service ‘AT&T TV Now.’ The effort is seemingly part of AT&T’s work to streamline its online TV platforms and move everything into a single application. AT&T confirmed the change in an email to DirecTV Now subscribers and on its press site. In the email, AT&T explained that in the coming weeks, DirecTV Now users will see their app change to AT&T TV Now....
