Dish Network has for the first time separated out its Dish TV and Sling TV subscriber numbers. The company revealed the figures in its year-end financials for 2017 … Dish says that Sling TV accounts for 2.212M of its 13.242M Pay-TV subscribers, and told us that this represents 47% growth year-on-year. This contrasts with its legacy satellite TV service, which lost more than a million subscribers in the course of the year....

Bungie has come up with a free-to-play online multiplayer FPS game called Destiny 2 back in 2017. Previously, it was released for PS4 & Xbox One platforms and then launched for Windows & Google Stadia also. So, all the Destiny 2 players can easily transfer their Blizzard’s Battle.net account to the Steam account in a given one-time opportunity. The Destiny 2: Shadowkeep Festival of the Lost update added an old Destiny 1 meme to Destiny 2’s Moon destination, resurrecting a Nightmare of Randal the Vandal to terrorize Guardians once again. The update, which focused on Destiny’s yearly Halloween festival, also added several new activities, like a new dungeon and the Haunted Forest seasonal activity. The Festival of the Lost update is part of Destiny 2’s new seasonal structure. While Destiny has had seasonal content drops for a while, this year’s seasons change the game world in more dramatic ways, adding and removing activities and structures (similar to something like Fortnite)....

Apple surprised announced its new HomeKit and AirPlay Smart TV initiative at CES earlier this month, with the first official compatible TVs launching in the spring. As we reported last night, iOS 12.2 includes the necessary foundations to support these new features. Developer Khaos Tian hacked the HomeKit protocol to simulate adding a smart TV accessory to the Home app. He shared some screenshots and videos of these features ‘in action’ …...

We aren’t supposed to respond to all our LinkedIn messages. However, leaving other people on “read” sometimes makes us feel bad, especially if they took the time to find out who you are, what you do, and the latest events you’ve attended to make the message personal enough to get your attention. The Digg iOS client has been updated today to version 5.2.1 and with it comes full support for iOS 7 in addition to the usual performance enhancements and bug fixes. Disney+ is already packed with content. At launch, Disney+ has an impressive library of over 300 movies and 7,000 television shows that encompasses properties from Disney itself, Pixar, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios, and 20th Century Fox. Epcot was Walt Disney’s vision of the future and for many modern fans, it’s a favorite theme park that even rivals the likes of Disney’s Hollywood Studios in terms of popularity. Scott Derickson, director of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, has shared a comic book panel that may well hint at his film’s plot. Marvel Studios has been developing the idea of the Multiverse for a long time, first hinting at it in the Thor films, and then bringing the concept to the forefront in 2016’s Doctor Strange. The Multiverse looks to be central to the MCU’s Phase 4, with rumors that Loki will travel from one reality to another, and of course the much-anticipated Doctor Strange 2....

After this feature was turned on, a lot of users found their Google Calendar’s to be cluttered up with several Event Invitations. If you don’t need to see all of these Event invite notifications — disable it. Open your Google Calendar and click the Options (gear) menu and select Settings. Scroll down to Automatically Add Invitations to My Calendar and select No, Only Show Invitations to Which I Have Responded....

Disable Windows Defender Service in Windows 1: Click the Start Button and type Services. Click Services once it appears. 2: Scroll down and right-click on Windows Defender, then click Properties. 3: Click the Down Arrow under Startup type: and click Disabled. Then click OK a few times to apply the changes. That’s all there is to it. The next time you reboot your machine, Windows Defender will not start. Looking back, this is what I should have recommended first....

The Walt Disney Company has dropped the Fox from its 20th Century and Searchlight logos. Disney acquired 20th Century Fox last March for $71.3 billion. The deal included their film and television studios, but not their broadcast network or Fox News, which both remained under the Rupert Murdoch-owned Fox Corp. Disney appears to have big plans regarding the integration of the 20th Century and its sister studio, Searchlight, as well as for the associated properties....

Disney’s big Christmas release is very different in 2020. It’s become a tradition for Disney to plan a major release around the holiday season, when many people have time off from work and families head to the movies. Over the past few years, this has largely been built around Star Wars, beginning with the success of The Force Awakens when it was released in December 2015, and subsequently seeing Rogue One and The Last Jedi grossing over $1 billion while in the December spot....

Emily Beecham has joined the cast of Disney’s live-action Cruella. The upcoming film is a prequel to 101 Dalmatians that takes place in London in the 1970s. It tells the story of a young Cruella (Emma Stone), back when she was a wannabe fashion designer known as Estella, as she sets out to find a locket her mother left her before she passed away. The film also stars Joel Fry (Yesterday) and Paul Walter Hauser (I, Tonya) who play her henchman, Jasper and Horace, along with Emma Thompson who plays a wealthy individual known as The Baroness....
